South Fraser Giants Fall Ball

South Fraser Giants Fall Ball

The South Fraser Giants is a U18 high performance baseball club representing Newton, North Delta, & Surrey Minor Baseball Clubs.  The program was founded in 2015.

The Giants field a U18 College Prep Team & a U18 Midget AAA Team.

The College Prep Team is for players in grades 10 to 12 with the goal of playing collegiate baseball.

The Midget AAA Team is our developmental team meant more for Grades 10 to 11 players with the hopes of playing College Prep the following year.  The team will still carry some grade 12 players.

Our Program goal is to develop you into the best baseball player & person you can become.  We will do everything we can to prepare you & have you playing college baseball.

Home Facilities:

Holly Park10698 148 st, Surrey BC

Unwin Park 13313 68 Ave, Surrey BC

Lionel Courchene Batting Cage 9900 154 st, Surrey BC

The team will also rent/use other facilities throughout our Off-Season programming.

College Placement:

Every player in our program will have an edited recruitment video.  These videos will be featured on our team youtube page & on our team Field Level account.  Field Level is a website / app that connects high school athletes to thousands of College Baseball programs across North America.

Players will also have game footage recorded throughout the season.  This will be taken care of by the coaching staff & uploaded to your Field Level account as the season progresses.  We will also record statistics such as exit velocity, pitchers velocity, infield/outfield velocity, 60 times, etc.

Most important aspect of moving onto college baseball is finding the right fit.  Everyone will have a different path.  Whether it’s going the 2 year JUCO route or the 4 year route, going to the States or staying in Canada.  As a program we will do everything to help you make the right decision for yourself.

Players can expect a weekly schedule consisting of:

2 Weightlifting Sessions at Elevation Fitness

1 Off-Season Hitting Session

Midget AAA Training will begin again in January.  It will be open for all players, not a selected few.

Winter Training – College Prep

Will run from January to Mid/End of February.  Our 2022 Team Roster will be announced at the conclusion of training.  Any unsuccessful players will have the opportunity to try out for Midget AAA.  This portion of training will still have a focus on elevating skills, & also start preparing towards the season.

Arizona Trip – March 2022 (Spring Break) – College Prep

It is our current plan that the College Prep Roster will attend a tournament sometime in March down in Arizona.  We will use this as a kickoff to our league season, as well as exposure down south for our players.  There will be an opportunity for some AAA players to join the team for this.

Dates are TBA.  We are hopeful there would be no COVID-19 complications that would jeopardize this trip.

More details would be provided at the beginning of Winter Training.
